To thrive as an Entry Level PCA, you need basic caregiving knowledge, a high school diploma or equivalent, and often CPR/First Aid certification. Familiarity with patient care documentation systems and mobility-assist devices is typically required. Entry-level PCAs often encounter challenges such as managing clients with diverse care needs, adapting to irregular schedules, and handling emotionally demanding situations. Building strong communication skills and seeking guidance from experienced team members can help address these challenges. Additionally, proactive self-care and utilizing available training resources can support new PCAs in maintaining both professional and personal well-being.

What are Entry Level PCAs?
