Position: Receptionist / Switchboard Operator
Location: Palmetto, GA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 2:45pm
Pay: Up to $18/hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Job Summary
We are hiring a Receptionist/Switchboard Operator for a client in Palmetto, GA. This role is the first point of contact for visitors and job applicants, handling phones, front desk duties, and administrative support.
Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone and route calls promptly; do not leave callers on hold unattended for more than 20 seconds
  • Greet visitors, have them sign the guest register, and notify the person being visited
  • Report any problems with the telephone system
  • Complete filing as needed
  • Operate copy machine as needed
  • Type memos and other correspondence for staff
  • Update phone listing as needed
  • Administer WPT/Hays assessments to applicants
  • Type labels as required
  • Phone screen applicants
  • Coordinate interviews and pre-employment paperwork
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Maintain ID badge system, including taking pictures and printing badges
  • Complete other tasks as assigned
Must Haves
  • One year of switchboard and/or telephone experience
  • High school diploma
  • Strong telephone and organizational skills
  • Effective computer skills
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions
