Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control conditions of the following: Finish application, Filament and splitting, Winder tension / build of package, Quality, Housekeeping, Entanglement of yarn bundle
  • Follow the directions of spec sheets and job requirements in establishing operating needs.
  • Follow operating instructions of process equipment.
  • Monitor finish to yarn product specification.
  • Monitor running filament bundles and report any off standard conditions and advise Crew Leader of any abnormal of off-standard conditions immediately.
  • Entire take-up system must be doffed when full bobbins reach standard size, each package is to have the transfer ring blown off and transfer tails are to be cut to the standard length.
  • Label and identify each finished package.
  • Maintain all production records, accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain housekeeping in order.
  • Take all waste to proper disposition and bale.
  • Advise Crew Leader of any abnormal of off-standard conditions immediately.
  • Provide assistance as required in all areas of the Draw Texturing Department. P.M.'s, maintenance of equipment, and repairs as scheduled.
  • Follow area/plant safety rules.
  • Train other employees as required.
  • Performs other duties as required including, Lab Tech responsibilities and LTO.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must be able to do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
  • Must be able to operate a lift truck.
