Job description

***OPEN TO CURRENT APS EMPLOYEES ONLY***
Support office operations through a diverse range of administrative and financial tasks such as, tracking financial transactions, monitoring payroll, and preparing detailed documents. This position also involves serving as a key point of contact for information dissemination, coordinating travel arrangements and meetings, provide coverage and training for other clerical positions, and preparing and distributing reports and correspondence.
This position must uphold professional standards and confidentiality, adheres to regulations and district policies, and actively participates in the implementation of Albuquerque Public Schools' mission and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Timesheet and payroll record keeping and uploads;
  • SYNERGY student record updates
  • Summer School administrative, counselor and teacher support duties as assigned

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferences:
  • Minimum of 3 years of secretarial/clerical experience, excellent interpersonal skills, word processing skills, knowledge of the operation, and capabilities of PC and associated software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Applies initiative and judgment in making decisions affecting work procedures, ability to work on a team or independently (based on program needs), and offer administrative support for the summer program duration.
  • Working knowledge of APS Payroll, Lawson Financial System, and of SYNERGY Student Information System

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED
