Commercial Property Manager

Commercial Property Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial properties.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Respond to tenant requests and ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance or capital improvement needs.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Review financial reports, variances, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tenant billings.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, service agreements, and project completion.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and tenant improvement projects.
  • Ensure properties remain in compliance with lease requirements, insurance requirements, and company policies.
  • Work closely with maintenance staff and vendors to maintain the appearance and operation of each property.
  • Prepare owner reports and communicate regularly with clients regarding property performance.
  • Support special projects and other property management responsibilities as assigned.

Commercial Property Manager Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of commercial property management experience in a commercial property management title
  • Strong understanding of commercial property operations, budgets, CAM reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, or other property management software is preferred.
  • Real Estate License preferred, or ability to obtain one if required.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
