Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Working Foreman with strong commercial construction and custom fabrication experience to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate small commercial projects, and contribute directly to high-quality metalwork, custom carpentry, and architectural fabrication projects.
This role requires a motivated professional who can balance crew management, project coordination, and hands-on craftsmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a crew of 4-5 skilled employees in both field construction and custom fabrication settings.
  • Oversee commercial tenant improvements, small ground-up construction, and custom fabrication projects.
  • Perform hands-on work, including metal fabrication, custom carpentry, and installation of architectural elements.
  • Prepare cost estimates, material takeoffs, and proposals.
  • Coordinate project schedules and manage subcontractors and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including design, property management, and construction management.
  • Review plans and specifications; communicate clearly with design teams and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Track employee time, materials, and project progress.
  • Troubleshoot field challenges and develop creative, efficient solutions.

Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction or custom fabrication, including management or supervisory experience.
  • Proven background in metalwork, custom carpentry, or architectural fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and coordination.
