Administrative Assistant (with HR Support Experience)

Pay: $20-$22hr
Location: Modesto, CA
Schedule: Full‐time, Monday–Friday
Industry: Food Manufacturing (Spice & Ingredient Production)

About the Role

Our client, a well‐established spice and ingredient company supporting manufacturers, is seeking a reliable and detail‐oriented Administrative Assistant with light HR experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of office administration and hands‐on support with payroll and timesheet processing.

You’ll be the go‐to person for daily office operations while assisting the HR/Payroll team to ensure smooth weekly processing. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their administrative and HR skill set in a stable, team‐oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, data entry, answering phones, and maintaining organized records
  • Assist with payroll processing, including collecting, reviewing, and entering employee timesheets
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding paperwork, document tracking, and employee file maintenance
  • Communicate with supervisors and employees regarding missing hours, corrections, or payroll questions
  • Prepare basic reports and update internal spreadsheets
  • Provide administrative support to management as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all HR‐related tasks

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of administrative experience required
  • Previous HR or payroll support experience preferred
