Position: Payroll Clerk
Pay: $18.00-$24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time, 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. start time
Assignment: Temporary, approximately 3-4 months

Job Overview for Payroll Clerk
The Lee Group is looking for a Payroll Clerk to work with one of our valued clients in Suffolk, VA. This temporary, full-time opportunity is expected to last approximately 3-4 months and will provide support to the payroll team with payroll processing, reporting, employee inquiries, wage verifications, and other administrative functions.
The ideal Payroll Clerk is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with payroll-related documentation and confidential information. Job Responsibilities of Payroll Clerk
  • Assist Payroll Technicians with processing semi-monthly payroll.
  • Verify invoices and prepare checks for payment.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees and outside agencies concerning payroll.
  • Prepare biweekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, schedules, and other information related to benefits and payroll.
  • Complete wage verifications and various surveys for government agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
