We are looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst & Processor to join a team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position supports high-volume payroll operations across U.S. and Canadian employee groups and plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, clear communication skills, and the confidence to escalate discrepancies when needed.
Responsibilities:
โข Manage full-cycle payroll processing for large weekly and biweekly employee populations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
โข Administer payroll activities for both U.S. and Canadian employee groups while maintaining compliance with applicable payroll practices.
โข Reconcile and finalize payroll data through external tax and payroll interfaces, including settlement activities connected to OneSource.
โข Partner closely with HR teams to resolve employee payroll questions, data issues, and processing exceptions.
โข Coordinate with internal support groups to address unique or non-routine payroll scenarios that arise during each cycle.
โข Review payroll results for inconsistencies, identify potential errors, and proactively raise concerns before finalization.
โข Maintain payroll records and support process accuracy within Workday and related payroll systems.
โข 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll ownership.
โข Hands-on experience managing payroll for large employee populations, including volumes exceeding 500 employees.
โข Strong working knowledge of Workday Payroll is required. - MUST HAVE
โข Experience supporting recurring payroll cycles such as weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly processing.
โข Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across payroll, HR, and internal stakeholder groups.
โข Confidence in identifying issues, questioning irregularities, and escalating concerns when appropriate.
โข Adaptability and sound judgment when handling exceptions and changing payroll needs.
โข Exposure to payroll tax processes or related tax knowledge is preferred.
