Payroll Specialist

Calling all Payroll professionals! Our client, a growing organization located in the Raleigh, NC area, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a stable company that values accuracy, efficiency, and employee service while offering opportunities for long-term career growth.

While working as the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and assisting with various payroll-related functions, including:

  • Processing weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll using Paycom
  • Reviewing payroll data for accuracy, including employee hours, earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes
  • Auditing payroll transactions and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Processing new hires, terminations, status changes, garnishments, and direct deposit updates within Paycom
  • Assisting employees and managers with payroll-related questions and issues
  • Reconciling payroll reports, benefits deductions, and payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and payroll audits
  • Collaborating with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and maximize system efficiencies within Paycom

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • CPP certification is a plus but not required
