Job description

Payroll Administrator

Capital Automotive Group is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role plays an important part in making sure our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Enter and maintain accurate payroll data, including employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other payroll-related details
  • Calculate and process employee wages, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation
  • Process payroll accurately and timely in accordance with established deadlines
  • Review payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
  • Partner closely with Human Resources and Finance to ensure payroll information is accurate and seamlessly integrated across departments
  • Stay current on applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and payroll regulations
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee and payroll information
  • Support payroll-related questions and assist with research and resolution of payroll issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Lyric preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of PC operations and business applications
  • Experience with CDK and/or Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to getting the details right
