We are looking for a proactive, detailed-oriented, analytical individual to join asa Payment Operations Representative. The Payment Operations Representative is responsible for providing back-office support on the processing of all transactions made via ATM/ITM, RDC, Mail, Lockbox, and Cenlar. The payment operations representative will also accurately and timely process ACH recurring loan payments and ACH/Check stop payment orders according to the NACHA and UCC 3 & 4 operating rules and regulations.

What does GTE look for in a Payment Operations Representative?

Payments:

  • Process and balance all checks received by mail and headquarters staff; scan and prepare batch(s) for delivery to the Federal Reserve.
  • Receive, process, and store all checks deposited in ITM-ATMs.
  • Review and balance all ITM-ATM deposits through the Image Center system.
  • Verify payees and endorsements of negotiable items received through ITM-ATM, mail, and Remote Deposit Capture.
  • Review and process Remote Deposit Capture deposits and ensure batch files are completed within SLA.
  • Verify checks through Early Warning System in accordance with credit union policy.
  • Process Saving Bonds received at ITM locations and prepare batch(s) for delivery to the Federal Reserve.
  • Process mutilated cash received at ITM locations and deposit with Brinks.
  • Issues ATM cards.
  • Process Cenlar daily postings, lockbox, returned mail, and address change files.
  • Create and maintain recurring ACH payment plans and process ACH and check stop payment orders within established department SLA and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Process dealer loan payoffs, including working with members and dealerships on payoff shortfalls. Inform Consumer Lending of daily payoffs to ensure titles/leans are released timely o the dealership.
  • Balance Payment Operation General Ledgers.

Customer Support:

  • Always provides prompt, courteous, and exceptional member service.
  • Ready to support members and team by being timely, prepared, and ready to assist members by delivering a great experience with a positive attitude.

Operations:

  • Participate in Regional Payments Association-sponsored training events when applicable.
  • Anti-money laundering, the Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to the Right to Financial Privacy Act; Identity Theft Red Flag; Reg CC; and Ethics: Policy and Personal Judgment for Tellers; U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some colleges preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience or combination of education and experience.

Position Details:

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm)

Full-time hours are required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.
