Overview:
Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate!
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Standard Working Hours: Once training is complete, candidate must be able to work 9:00am to 6:000 PM EST, M-F--with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days a week in office. No weekends required
Position Location: 2 in office days (Hybrid work schedule) at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach.
Insurance Premium Payment Associate
Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Certification/Licensure
  • No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience
  • 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED
  • Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred
  • Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED
  • Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
  • Healthcare environment experience a plus
  • Reliable transportation essential to success in role
