Position

The On Call Banquet Server at Paws Up delivers world-class hospitality in a luxury setting. This role is responsible for executing exceptional banquet and event service by following established service sequences, maintaining elevated presentation standards, and anticipating guest needs while upholding the resort’s commitment to discretion, professionalism, and personalized service.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Greet, guide, and deliver world-class service by acting as a knowledgeable professional within the event space.
  • Demonstrate complete menu proficiency, including food preparation methods, ingredients, allergens, beverage offerings, and alternative preparations.
  • Engage with guests at a high level, identifying preferences and fulfilling special requests as directed by management or guests.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guests before, during, and after their experience at Paws Up.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities, offerings, and local area information to enhance the guest experience.
  • Be fully accountable for the sequence of service (Greet, Guide & Deliver) throughout all banquet and event functions.
  • Prepare tables and event spaces with meticulous attention to sanitation, organization, and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with server assistants and banquet team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate all food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests clearly and promptly to the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Maintain proficiency with POS systems, preferably Silverware.
  • Assist in resolving guest service concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management only when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized dining space and workstation at all times.
  • Complete all opening and closing checklists and any additional tasks assigned by management.
  • Follow all resort safety, security, sanitation, and operational policies and procedures.

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Exhibit hospitality, professionalism, and pride in representing Paws Up at all times.
  • Foster positive and collaborative working relationships with all resort team members.
  • Ensure all guest interactions and transactions are handled ethically, legally, and confidentially.
  • Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance consistent with resort standards.
  • Perform all duties in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner.

Educational, Experience, Licensure Required 

  • Current driver’s license with two years driving experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational or job-related course work required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of serving experience, preferably in a luxury resort, fine dining, or banquet setting.
  • Strong understanding of world-class hospitality and service standards.
  • Working knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, food, and basic culinary methods.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
