Pay Range: $23.28 - $23.28 per hour

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Patient Access Representative position plays a key role in the health system and in providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely throughput and capturing all necessary data timely. The Patient Access Representative is responsible to greet all patients in a timely and friendly manner. A core function of this position is to ensure that all customers, external and internal, are treated with the highest level of respect. The Patient Access Representative provides a safe and secure environment for the patient during the registration process. The Patient Access Representative ensures accuracy and thoroughness in collecting and documentation of the patient's demographic and insurance information, and utilizes the technology available to complete the registration.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma required

Preferred:
  • Customer service experience
  • Patient Access experience preferred
  • Knowledge in all aspects of registration, Non-Federal and Federal billing regulations, and state programs such as Charity Care
  • Medical terminology and computer skills

Scheduling Requirements:
  • Per Diem
  • Night, 11 PM to 7 AM
  • Rotating weekends and holidays

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible to collect co-payments, issues receipts for patients, and reconciles the daily cash within the PFS Department. Directly collects from the patients/families
