Job description

Patient Engagement Coordinator
The Patient Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support in increasing the engagement of participants and organizational events. The Patient Engagement Coordinator will possess excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, will be detail-oriented and organized, and will work well both independently and in collaborative scenarios.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Traveling to clinical sites and ensuring marketing materials are up to date at each location.
  • Organizing patient giveaways when necessary.
  • Performing patient outreach when necessary, including, but not limited to, phone calls, in-person visits, email, etc.
  • Providing outstanding customer service.
  • Attending outreach events and providing clinical trial information.
  • Engaging with a diverse population to volunteer as participants in diverse research studies.
  • Ensuring each patient has a positive interaction by providing a high level of customer service.
  • Meeting productivity and performance expectations set forth by the manager
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate with members and medical office personnel, both verbally and written.
  • Capturing required metrics in company databases while adhering to IRB and HIPAA guidelines for data collection, to drive the ongoing evaluation of program operations.
  • Initiating data-driven improvements for engagement.
  • Collaborating closely with providers, clinical team, outreach workers, and other staff to promote participation and achieve patient engagement metrics established by the management team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • Any other matters as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE amp; EXPERIENCE
Education:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required
Experience:
  • 2+ Customer service experience in healthcare setting required
Credentials:
  • N/A
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to build trust with strangers and listen carefully to their perspectives
  • Ability to operate independently, effectively, and efficiently in a field setting
  • Medical terminology knowledge a plus but not required
  • Computer proficiency, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outgoing personality
  • Well-organized with attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
