Job description

Job Title: Patient Account Representative (Long-Term Temporary)
Location: On-site Schedule: 8am-4:30pm/8:30am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: $22-24/hr DOE

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our client's healthcare team on a long-term temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, processing medical billing, and ensuring accurate insurance claim submissions while providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and submit medical insurance claims while ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and regulations
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Review and resolve denied claims through appropriate follow-up and appeals processes
  • Communicate with patients regarding their account status, payment options, and insurance-related questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the medical billing system
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections processes
  • Generate and analyze billing reports as needed
Qualifications: Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Either: • Minimum of 1 year medical billing experience • Recent graduation with certification in Medical Billing and Coding
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
