Job description

The Festus R-VI School District has an immediate opening for the position of:
PAT Secretary 

Employment:             25-29 hours per week

Pay Rate:                    Minimum Rate of $15.02 per hour 

Deadline:                    Position is Open until Filled. 

Start Date:              May 26th, 2026
 

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating and reporting the activities of the department. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
?    Provides an impactful and positive first experience to families and staff during phone calls, visits, screenings,and group connections..
?    Assist the Parents As Teacher Director, Parent Educators and Screening Coordinator as needed
?    Enroll new families
?    Complete diaper bank reports and diaper sign out sheets
?    Create screening packets for in office and out of office screenings
?    Schedule in office screenings
?    Phones: Answer PAT phone line
?    Pull and store student file for children going to kindergarten 
?    Fire Drills - assist classroom teachers in safely removing children from the building until it is safe to return to the building
?    Assist PAT staff with copier and laminator.
?    Support new Parent Educators
?    Data entry of PAT screenings,follow up on referrals, new enrollment and records
?    Maintain accurate PAT family records in Visit Tracker
?    Maintain accurate physical PAT family records
?    Assist Parents as Teachers director in invoicing 
?    Maintain Screening protocol materials 
?    Maintain Request for Service google form

















EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

? Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
? Preferred 1 to 2 years of job-related prior experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
? Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
? Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
? Ability to communicate with others inside and outside of the District.
? Ability to apply common sense, collect data and conduct analysis as required to solve certain problems.
? Ability to comprehend correspondence and share information in one-on-one situations.
? Required to professionally handle confidential data that reflects information about children, families employees and/or District operations.
? Ability to operate a personal computer and basic office software.
