Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and dependable Pastry Prep Cook to prepare desserts and support the development of new dessert items. This position is responsible for following recipes, preparing dessert components, maintaining consistency and quality, and helping bring fresh ideas to our dessert menu.
Responsibilities
• Prepare desserts and pastry items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Measure, mix, bake, portion, assemble, and plate dessert items as needed.
• Prepare sauces, fillings, toppings, doughs, batters, and other dessert components.
• Assist with creating and testing new dessert items for the menu.
• Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, portion size, and quality.
• Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients properly.
• Keep the pastry prep area clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Follow food safety and kitchen sanitation standards at all times.
• Communicate with management or kitchen leadership about inventory needs, prep lists, and menu ideas.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months in a similar role.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Creativity and interest in developing new dessert items.
