Summary
Aftermarket Parts Representative I
Hybrid: Novi, Michigan
The Aftermarket Parts Representative I is responsible for supporting the growth and execution of the aftermarket parts business for the Stationary Metrology product portfolio. This role serves as a key point of contact for internal and external customers by managing parts inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, providing delivery updates, and coordinating technical information related to replacement parts and services.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with ERP systems, inventory processes, and technical product information. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers, suppliers, procurement teams, service teams, and internal HMI departments to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Job Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer and internal inquiries through phone, email, and other communication channels regarding aftermarket parts, availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage incoming parts requests from customers, service teams, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and provide accurate quotations, order information, and delivery updates.
  • Process aftermarket parts orders using ERP systems, including customer purchase orders and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain accurate parts information, pricing, and product data within ERP systems.
  • Support inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating availability, and assisting with inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to address supplier issues, lead times, and stocking requirements.
  • Coordinate with HMI factories, suppliers, and internal product teams to obtain technical documentation and product information.
  • Provide basic technical guidance regarding replacement parts, installation information, and product compatibility.
  • Support multiple product lines within Stationary Metrology and maintain knowledge of HMI products and aftermarket offerings.
  • Assist with warehouse-related activities including cycle counts, inventory verification, and stockroom support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support aftermarket business growth.
  • Resolve customer issues by researching solutions, coordinating internally, and providing timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to customer requests, orders, and communications.
  • Participate in training programs, product updates, and continuous learning activities to maintain technical knowledge.
  • Support assigned projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, inside sales support, order management, parts coordination, technical support, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting industrial products, machinery, or technical equipment is a plus.
  • ERP experience preferred (LX ERP, BPCS, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
