Job description

Job Responsibilities for Parts Counter Sales Representative:

  • Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
  • Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
  • Advise customers on related parts
  • Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
  • Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
  • Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
  • Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
  • Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
  • Assist with other projects as needed

Required Skills for Parts Counter Sales Representative:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
  • Mechanical aptitude, desired
  • Customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
