For more than a decade, Kenworth Northeast has operated Full-Service Dealerships providing best-in-class service and parts to the World's Best customers. We are entering an exciting period of growth and looking for people who share our passion for excellence and our vision for the future.
Kenworth Northeast is currently looking for an experienced Parts Counter Sales Representative to work at the Albany, NY location. The Parts Counter Sales Representative will be responsible for assisting all customers and mechanics in securing needed parts and supplies. The Parts Counter Sales Rep will also be accountable for achieving the monthly sales and gross profit forecasts, and for seeking and soliciting parts sales.
*Starting pay range is $21-$26/hour*
How you will make an impact:
  • Works with customers and mechanics to fill parts requirements.
  • Prepares invoices for all over the counter sales, and house requisitions for all parts that are issued to the shops.
  • Assists in maintaining stock levels, receiving and shipping parts, and in issuing local purchase orders.
  • Works with outside sales force to fill the customer's parts requirements in order to obtain maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
  • Updates and maintains master parts and price books.
  • Enters all lost sales into the inventory system so that proper inventory items and levels can be maintained.
  • Prepares information for the Parts Manager on parts which may be required for inventory.
  • Operates a terminal console and other equipment in fulfilling duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you will need:
  • One year heavy duty or automotive parts related experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience dealing with the public in sales/service capacity
  • Excellent computer skills preferred
  • Requires ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
