Job description

Position Purpose: Key duties include managing reservations (including collecting payment, tracking rental fleet, organizing paperwork), conducting safety checks on all rental equipment, providing excellent customer service, and handling inquiries/issues promptly with the support of the rental supervisor on duty. Will have strong organizational skills, a passion for the outdoors, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hospitality, service, or recreational fields is a plus.

The anticipated base pay rate for this Rental Representative position is $17.00.

Availability is required from April 11th through October 31st to accommodate training dates; the actual season duration is shorter.

Work Location:This position is based at Grafton Lakes State Park.


Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Works most closely with local leader

  • Reports directly to ODP Regional Manager

  • Supports tasks and goals set forth by local leader and rental supervisor on duty

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct pre- and post-rental equipment inspections.

  • Ensure all rental agreements are properly completed.

  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries.

  • Maintain and clean vessels and equipment.

  • Monitor weather conditions and advise customers accordingly.

  • Assist customers with boarding and disembarking vessels.

  • Handle payment transactions and maintain accurate records.

  • Communicate equipment repair/replacement needs with local leader/rental supervisor.

  • Enforce all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Assist in marketing and promotional activities for the rental program.

  • Learn and be able to respond to Emergency Response Policy.
