Job description

Position Summary

The Client Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of established healthcare clients by serving as a strategic advisor, relationship leader and internal client advocate. This role builds trusted relationships across client organizations, develops a deep understanding of each client’s business priorities and ensures DataSpring solutions deliver measurable and sustained value.

As a member of the Client Partnerships organization, the Client Partnerships Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic account plans, drive solution adoption, monitor client health and strengthen relationships with operational and executive stakeholders. The role is accountable for supporting client retention, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring clients recognize the business and operational value of their partnership with DataSpring.

This position operates at the intersection of client strategy, value realization and execution. The Client Partnerships Manager works closely with Product, Sales, Implementation, Operations, Analytics, Marketing, Finance and other internal partners to align resources around client priorities, address risks and create a consistent, high-quality client experience.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, commercially minded healthcare professional who can manage multiple client relationships, translate complex information into clear recommendations and move comfortably between strategic discussions and day-to-day execution.

The Client Partnerships Manager is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Client Partnerships. This position will require the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities Client Strategy and Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner and strategic partner for an assigned portfolio of healthcare clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client’s organization, business objectives, operating environment, stakeholders and use of DataSpring solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships across executive, operational, technical and procurement stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain strategic account plans that document client priorities, relationship strategies, solution adoption, risks, opportunities and measurable success outcomes.
  • Establish an appropriate client engagement cadence based on account needs, including strategic planning sessions, performance reviews and executive business reviews.
  • Connect DataSpring capabilities, insights and industry expertise to each client’s business and operational priorities.
Client Value and Solution Adoption
  • Define, track and communicate client success measures that demonstrate the operational and business value of DataSpring solutions.
  • Drive adoption and effective utilization of DataSpring products and services, ensuring solutions are integrated into client workflows and delivering intended outcomes.
  • Partner with Product, Analytics and subject-matter experts to provide clients with actionable insights, recommendations and relevant industry perspectives.
  • Identify barriers to adoption or value realization and coordinate the appropriate internal resources to address them.
  • Help clients prepare for product enhancements, platform transitions and other changes through proactive communication, planning and change-management support.
  • Translate client performance, usage and engagement data into clear recommendations for both client and internal stakeholders.
Retention and Client Growth
  • Maintain accountability for the health, retention and long-term success of the assigned client portfolio.
  • Monitor account health using relationship, adoption, performance, support, financial and engagement indicators.
  • Identify emerging risks early, develop mitigation plans and ensure appropriate internal visibility and executive engagement.
  • Lead renewal readiness in partnership with Sales, Finance, Legal and other internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client value through additional solutions, broader adoption, new use cases or deeper organizational engagement.
  • Develop a clear understanding of client whitespace and future priorities and communicate qualified growth opportunities to the appropriate commercial partners.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level retention, revenue and growth objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Execution
  • Act as the internal voice of the client, ensuring client priorities, feedback and business needs are clearly represented across DataSpring.
  • Coordinate cross-functional account teams and establish clear ownership, timelines and follow-through for client commitments.
  • Partner with Implementation and Operations teams to support effective transitions from implementation to ongoing partnership management.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to communicate client needs, provide structured feedback and support roadmap discussions.
  • Lead the coordination and resolution of significant client issues, risks and escalations while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure clients receive a coordinated experience across DataSpring rather than navigating internal functions independently.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account information in Salesforce, including account plans, engagement activity, health status, risks, opportunities, stakeholder relationships and renewal information.
Portfolio and Organizational Contribution
  • Apply segmentation, engagement and account-management standards consistently across the assigned portfolio.
  • Use data and client insights to prioritize activity and allocate time according to client value, risk and opportunity.
  • Share client trends, feedback and market intelligence that may inform product strategy, service delivery and commercial planning.
  • Contribute to the development of Client Partnerships playbooks, processes, reporting and best practices.
  • Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and client-centered decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in account management, client success, client partnerships, healthcare consulting or another strategic client-facing role.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex business-to-business clients, preferably within healthcare, healthcare technology, SaaS, data or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with executive, operational, technical and procurement stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic account-management capabilities, including account planning, stakeholder mapping, business reviews, client health assessment and risk mitigation.
  • Experience driving client adoption, retention, renewals, value realization and growth.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify client needs, whitespace and qualified expansion opportunities.
  • Ability to connect product and service capabilities to client business objectives and communicate measurable value.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating complex client initiatives without direct authority.
  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and sensitive client situations.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to lead strategic client discussions and executive business reviews.
  • Ability to synthesize client, product, operational and performance data into clear insights, recommendations and action plans.
  • Experience working with health plans, provider organizations or healthcare administrative solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with provider data, credentialing, directory management, network management, coordination of benefits or related healthcare processes is preferred.
