SUMMARY

The Strategic Partnerships Manager for Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) is responsible for driving revenue growth and long-term partner value through the development and execution of strategic, integrated partnership solutions. This role serves as a consultative sales leader, aligning partner business objectives with DTPB's full portfolio of assets across Marketing, Sales, Digital Technology, and Destination Stewardship. This position serves as a centralized, strategic point of contact for partners, responsible for packaging and monetizing cross-departmental initiatives into cohesive, revenue-generating partnership opportunities. The Strategic Partnerships Manager will identify opportunities, design customized partnership strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful programs that meet partner needs and organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic partnership plans that generate revenue and align with DTPB's priorities and partner objectives.
  • Identify partner needs and lead the development of customized, multi-channel solutions leveraging DTPB's full portfolio of assets, including marketing, events, tradeshows, content, digital technology, and destination stewardship initiatives.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of partners and prospects with a focus on long-term growth, retention, and increased partner investment.
  • Proactively source, evaluate, and secure new partnerships that align with market trends and destination priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Destination Technology, and Destination Stewardship to develop integrated offerings and ensure successful execution.
  • Translate partner goals into strategic recommendations and customized proposals that deliver measurable value and ROI.
  • Manage renewal processes with a focus on retention, upselling, and expanding partner engagement.
  • Leverage CRM systems, performance metrics, and market insights to guide strategy, track success, and optimize partnership outcomes.
  • Serve as an ambassador for DTPB at industry events, networking opportunities, and community engagements to strengthen relationships and grow the pipeline.
  • Gather partner feedback and industry intelligence to recommend enhancements to partnership programs, tiers, and offerings.
  • County travel up to 50%.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 7 years' experience in partnerships, sales, media sales, advertising agency, business development, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and close strategic, revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Experience in consultative or solution-based selling, with the ability to create integrated, bundled and customized offerings across multiple channels, including partnership, sponsorship, marketing and sales solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in relationship management, retention, and account growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of local market.
  • Knowledge of the tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing industry preferred.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and after hours as needed.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing conditions and circumstances.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and cooperate with other DTPB departments and staff.
  • Ability to travel locally and attend events, including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to meet clients daily.
