Job description

Job Summary:
Partnership HealthPlan of California is seeking an IT Helpdesk Operator II to support day-to-day IT production operations and telecommunications. The role involves managing HelpDesk functions, providing technical support to internal customers, and improving HelpDesk workflows.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Answers incoming IT service calls, responds to direct email requests and walk-up requests from PHC employees.
โ€ข Logs incoming request into the IT Service Desk Ticketing system.
โ€ข Serves as first tier/level support tech for PC and phone issues, provides prompt support to end users on PC, phone, and other application issues.
โ€ข Builds rapport and elicits problem details from help desk customers.
โ€ข Prioritizes, schedules, and assigns tickets and work orders within the Service Desk. Escalates requests (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.
โ€ข Records, tracks, and documents the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
โ€ข Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
โ€ข Performs preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
โ€ข Monitors and maintains IT stock inventory to ensure equipment availability.
โ€ข Manages IT asset inventory
โ€ข Provides administrative and clerical assistance to the IT Operations team.
โ€ข Prepares purchasing and procurement documentation for IT Operations and serves as secondary resource for IT.
โ€ข Performs post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
โ€ข Assists in coordination of IT equipment distribution and equipment return.
โ€ข Manages and maintains service desk customer satisfaction surveys.
โ€ข Manages resource scheduling for all incoming meeting requests requiring Audio / Video support.
โ€ข Assists with scheduling New Hire onboarding and inventory tracking.
โ€ข Assists IT OPS Business Analyst with Return to Office and Telework deployments.
โ€ข Manages small projects associated to the IT Operations Tech OPS Teams.
โ€ข Coordinates, schedules and provides reporting of E-Waste pickups.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
โ€ข Periodically works with IT staff on assigned projects
โ€ข Available by cell phone to assist in coordination of IT outages 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associateโ€™s or technical degree preferred
โ€ข Candidate must have worked in IT environment for at least three (3) to four (4) years in a similar capacity
โ€ข Experience within a Partnership HealthPlan Call Center environment would be highly considered
โ€ข MS Office proficiency
โ€ข Good Phone Communication Skills Required
โ€ข Familiarity With Healthcare IT is a big plus
โ€ข Familiar with Microsoft Active Directory and User Account Management
โ€ข Working knowledge and troubleshooting experience in Windows (10/11) network environments
โ€ข LAN connectivity
โ€ข MS Office 365
โ€ข Anti-Spam, and Anti-Virus preferred
โ€ข Minimum of 2 years working experience managing and entering tickets into a service system and/or working in a call center environment
โ€ข Valid California driverโ€™s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business
โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication skills
โ€ข Excellent organization of time and tasks, with ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
โ€ข Ability to work under minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment
โ€ข Diplomacy and tact in handling user software and PC problems
โ€ข Willingness to take initial training and to continue to learn new software, hardware, and network technologies
โ€ข Ability to use a computer keyboard
โ€ข More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor
โ€ข When required, ability to move, carry, or lift objects of varying size, weighing up to 35 lbs
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiar with collaborative technologies (Webex, MS Teams)
โ€ข COMPTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or other equivalent desktop tech certifications are highly desirable
