We are looking for a curious, collaborative, and technically grounded IT manager to help shape and deliver the next generation of lab IT operations and scientific systems across our R&D laboratories.
In this role, you will improve how our labs run today and help prepare them for more secure, scalable, and AI-ready ways of working tomorrow.

We are a diverse team that supports Discovery and Development scientists around the world. Together, we deliver lab informatics solutions that help accelerate R&D innovation and enable the development of new medicines for patients with unmet medical needs.
Key responsibilities
  • Shape the technical roadmap, and operational model for secure, connected, and observable lab IT operations and scientific systems.
  • Across the lab estate, manage lab software and instrument control systems, facility management systems, process automation platforms, data acquisition tools.
  • Be responsible for the full lifecycle of for these systems,
  • Partner closely with lab managers, vendors and technical partner to develop secure architectures and operational practices for instrument onboarding and connectivity, secure remote access patterns, network segmentation, Windows 11 rollouts and system integrations.
  • Connect operational systems and scientific data platforms such as LIMS, ELN, and SDMS to ensure data is secure, traceable, and AI-ready
  • Partner with lab operations, business partners, vendors, security, compliance, and IT teams to align on priorities, risks, and deliver scalable solutions in a multi-functional environment.
  • Apply modern engineering practices, including the effective use of AI-assisted development and productivity tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies, to improve solution design, documentation, automation, and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master degree, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant experience running IT platforms in life sciences, lab IT, scientific systems, instrument/system integration, OT/IoT connectivity
  • Good understanding of drug discovery workflows and the role of lab informatics platforms, scientific operations systems, and data management in enabling secure, traceable, AI-ready data
  • Ability to translate lab and business needs into technology solutions and support strategies
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with a focus on quality, reliability, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering and efficiency tools with the ability to use these tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, development, documentation, and problem-solving.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
