Job description

About the Opportunity

Star Staffing is partnering with an established medical manufacturing company in Santa Rosa, CA to add a detail-driven Inventory professional to the team. This is a Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time role paying $20.00–$25.00 per hour D.O.E.

A Day in the Life

You start your shift by reviewing inventory variances from the prior day, confirming counts on the floor align with the system. A shipment arrives—you receive, count, and inspect the materials, log them into the inventory system, and route them to the correct warehouse or production cell. Throughout the day, you stage outgoing orders, verify shipping paperwork, and make sure FIFO is followed for all picks and replenishments. You keep aisles tidy, packaging and cleanroom supplies stocked, and flag any slow-moving or obsolete items. When physical counts are scheduled, you’re a key player—methodical, accurate, and calm under pressure—all while following safety, quality, and ISO procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain precise inventory accuracy and reconcile counts with the computer system.
  • Receive, count, and visually inspect inbound materials; document discrepancies.
  • Prepare, verify, and stage outbound shipments with proper paperwork.
  • Apply FIFO methods to picking, storage, and replenishment activities.
  • Enter receipts and transactions into the inventory software promptly and correctly.
  • Relocate materials to designated warehouse locations or production areas.
  • Sustain a clean, efficient, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Monitor packaging and cleanroom consumables; report low stock levels.
  • Assist with scheduled and ad-hoc physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Identify slow-moving or outdated inventory and escalate appropriately.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and ISO standards and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in production or warehouse operations.
  • Current forklift certification required.
  • Basic proficiency with computers; accurate counting and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational habits and the ability to multitask.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience in medical device or plastic injection molding is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for most of the shift.
  • Frequently bend, squat, reach, climb, and lift.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment.
