Job description

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

The Revenue team drives Affirmโ€™s top-line growth through strategic partnerships, pricing, and go-to-market execution. We acquire, retain, and expand merchant relationships across eCommerce, in-store, telesales, and the Affirm app. The team leads onboarding, relationship management, and performance optimization to help partners succeed. We deliver value-added solutions, drive adoption, and support long-term business growth by connecting merchants and consumers through Affirmโ€™s products.

Affirm is seeking a strategic, senior marketing leader to own and scale our Partner Marketing function. As Director, Partner Marketing, you will define the vision and go-to-market strategy for co-marketing campaigns across our merchant network, driving growth through onsite and offsite marketing solutions. You will be responsible for setting the direction for how Affirm leverages merchant investment to fuel business growth through our growing ad partnerships including affiliate and other channels, and youโ€™ll lead a team of marketers to execute against those strategies at scale.

Youโ€™ll operate as a senior cross-functional leader across Client Success, Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Analytics, Brand, and Legal โ€” and serve as an external face of Affirm's co-marketing capabilities with top-tier merchant partners.

What Youll Do
  • Define and own the Partner Marketing strategy for Affirm Marketing Solutions, including the roadmap for onsite Marketplace programs, offsite campaigns, and emerging media channels.
  • Lead a team of Partner Marketers, setting priorities, developing talent, coaching on account management, and building a high-performing function.
  • Drive revenue growth through scalable marketing programs, including performance marketing in the Affirm Marketplace, with accountability for ad revenue, iROAS, and GMV targets.
  • Own senior-level merchant relationships, serving as a strategic partner and executive sponsor for marquee co-marketing programs across key verticals.
  • Establish the operating model for Partner Marketing โ€” including planning cadences, measurement frameworks, campaign governance, and XFN accountability structures.
  • Translate marketplace and media performance data into strategic insights that inform merchant investment, product prioritization, and future program design.
  • Partner with Product and Analytics to evolve attribution, incrementality measurement, and reporting capabilities that differentiate Affirm's marketing program.
  • Manage a significant co-marketing budget, ensuring disciplined allocation, compliance, and ROI.
  • Drive vertical market strategies with depth and differentiation.
What We Look For
  • 7-10+ years in Partner Marketing, Performance Marketing, Affiliate, and/or Media, with at least 3โ€“5 years in a people leadership role.
  • Proven track record building and scaling co-marketing or media network programs, ideally within fintech, retail, or a performance-driven marketplace.
  • Deep fluency in performance marketing models; strong command of affiliate tracking, attribution, and measurement methodologies.
  • Experience building business cases and influencing C-suite and VP-level stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical orientation; ability to synthesize performance data, set benchmarks, and drive continuous improvement across a portfolio of programs.
  • Track record of leading high-performing teams and developing marketing talent.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence; ability to represent the function credibly at the leadership table.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and multi-channel media plans at scale.
  • Deep familiarity with online and omnichannel retail marketing across North America
