Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused

Development Coordinator to inspire community involvement and support our mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building partnerships, coordinating volunteers, planning events, and connecting people with meaningful opportunities to make a difference.

Working alongside our Development team, the Development Coordinator will cultivate community partnerships, oversee volunteer engagement, coordinate special events, and manage

fundraising efforts focused on businesses, civic organizations, churches, and community groups.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, churches, schools, and community groups.
  • Manage a portfolio of community partners and corporate sponsors, focusing primarily on gifts and sponsorships under $10,000.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and steward volunteers for construction sites, the ReStore, special events, and other Habitat programs.
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation activities, fundraising events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Represent Habitat for Humanity at community events, networking opportunities, and public presentations.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer build days and community service projects.
  • Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and partnership records within Bloomerang.
  • Collaborate with the Fund Development committee and other staff to achieve annual fundraising and engagement goals.
  • Prepare reports on volunteer participation, community partnerships, and engagement activities.
  • Ensure volunteers have a positive, safe, and meaningful experience while supporting
  • Habitat's mission.

    What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, public relations, business, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in fundraising, volunteer management, community engagement, event planning, or nonprofit development.
  • Outstanding communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and events.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or community outreach initiatives.
  • Comfortable speaking before groups and representing Habitat in the community.
  • Experience using donor or CRM software (Bloomerang experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
