Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on people's lives? We are seeking a Business Development Manager!

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth within their market’s sales territory. The Manager will be out and about in the community and must be based in Virginia. The Outreach Manager will be responsible for executing strategic outreach plans, based on company goals, that will promote both patient and referral partner growth and satisfaction for the organization. Examples of outreach targets may include unaffiliated psychiatric care providers, primary care groups, inpatient facilities and other higher levels of care, schools, and other community-based organizations. The Regional Outreach Manager will be embedded in their state’s sales territory and have a strong track record of developing local relationships with community partners, supporting business-to-business sales efforts, and managing relationships with local stakeholders in support of regional growth efforts. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Transformation’s mission by partnering with our family of local brands to reinforce their value proposition throughout the assigned region and community
  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of Transformation’s products and services to support effective communication with current and potential referral partners.
  • Travel throughout the territory and visit existing partners regularly to generate field-based activity to drive growth
  • Liaise with referral partners and answer all questions and complaints efficiently and professionally
  • Manage multiple partnerships simultaneously
  • Partner with regional leaders to execute integrated marketing and outreach campaigns that achieve company targets for new patient intakes, census, and satisfaction
  • Participate in industry meetings, business events, sales conferences, etc.
  • Monitor the organization’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions
  • Execute creative, segment- and region-specific multi-channel outreach strategies to increase organizational awareness in the assigned region including cultivating new leads
  • Implement outreach strategies to support new clinic openings, including pre-opening, market, and relationship development activities
  • Drive qualified demand and meet individual growth targets through community partner referral channels
  • Maintain records of all current and potential referral partners and prepare and submit sales reports regularly to management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data-driven outreach/growth positions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of and 3+ years of experience using SalesForce
  • Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication that is professional in both content and delivery
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with various stakeholder groups
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and project management tools
  • Willingness to adapt to changing needs and adjust as necessary

Columbia Mental Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this role is $80,000–$85,000. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and incentive opportunities available for this role.
