Job description

Job Title: Assistant Infant Teacher
Location: Little Duckling Daycare II


Position Overview:

Little Duckling Daycare is seeking a caring, patient, and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Infant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires teamwork, flexibility, and a passion for early childhood development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in providing a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
  • Help maintain daily routines including feeding, diapering, and napping.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Assist with observing and documenting children’s development.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with families and team members.
  • Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure smooth classroom operations.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain preferred.
  • Experience working with infants or young children preferred (but not required).
  • Basic knowledge of infant care and development.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with infants.

Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
