Job description

Job Summary:


The Mental Health Professional (MHP), under the direction of the Partial Hospitalization Program Director and Psychiatrist, and also with collaboration of other treatment team members, will design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan specific to each individual client and family. The Mental Health Professional will identify treatment goals and interventions that will provide the best results for the individual client and family. The Mental Health Professional may provide direction, establish priorities, complete group and individual therapy with clients and make necessary updates to the client treatment plan. This candidate will be able to assess situations and make proper judgments, understand behavioral situations and react accordingly; objectively analyze and manage crisis situations, as well as make appropriate recommendations to various agencies, groups and individuals as needed. This individual will be able to work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Works as a team member with the Program Director, Psychiatrist, treatment staff, administrative personnel, and all other appropriate personnel
  • Create and direct the implementation of the treatment plan with the assistance of the Psychiatrist and treatment team.
  • Provide professional consultation to the treatment staff.
  • Complete all required documentation, records, reports, and assignments in a timely manner, while ensuring consistency with agency standards, rules and regulations
  • Attends and participates in all treatment team meetings, clinical reviews, trainings, and consultations as required.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct individual and group therapy activities within the Partial Hospitalization Program and other ACRP programs as directed.
  • Maintains records and charts regarding the client which detail proposed and completed behavioral objectives; maintains records management systems.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:


Education / Experience:

  • Master's Level Mental Health Clinician.
  • Master's degree in psychology, sociology, education or another human service-related field.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in the mental health field, preferred.
