What are part-time jobs?

Part-time jobs are positions in which employees work fewer hours per week than full-time employees, typically less than 35-40 hours. These jobs often offer more flexible schedules, making them ideal for students, parents, or anyone needing to balance work with other commitments. Part-time roles can be found in a variety of industries, such as retail, food service, healthcare, and administration. Benefits and pay may vary compared to full-time positions, and some part-time jobs may not offer benefits like health insurance or paid time off.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part-time worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a part-time worker, you generally need reliability, time management, a willingness to learn, and the relevant educational or experience requirements for the specific role. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, or other job-specific tools is often beneficial. Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork are valuable soft skills that help part-time employees integrate quickly into existing teams. Job description

Chiropractic Associate
Mentorship & Succession Opportunity (Part-Time)

Dr. Mac’s Medical Pain Management & Wellness Center | Woodbridge, VA

About the Opportunity
Dr. Henry A. McCleary, D.C., CSCS — a U.S. Army veteran with 37+ years of clinical experience and a published author in his field — is preparing for retirement and is looking for the right doctor to train as his successor.
This is a rare, hands-on residency/mentorship position. You won’t just be hired to see patients — you’ll be personally trained by Dr. Mac in his proprietary instrument adjusting system, a technique he has used throughout his career to help patients recover effectively and achieve lasting health. Whether you’re newly licensed or already experienced, if your adjusting skills aren’t where you’d like them to be, that’s not a barrier here — it’s the whole point of the program.

What We’re Looking For
•       Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic (or soon-to-be licensed)
•       Open to all experience levels — recent graduates and seasoned doctors alike are welcome to apply
•       Coachable and open-minded — willingness to learn and adopt Dr. Mac’s adjusting system is more important than prior technique
•       Genuine interest in patient care and long-term practice growth

Position Details
•       Schedule: Part-time, 8 –12 hours per week
•       Compensation: $1,600/month
•       Growth path: Performance-based raise/compensation increase reviewed at 6 months
•       Structure: Direct mentorship under Dr. McCleary, with a path toward eventually stepping into his role as he transitions into retirement

Why This Role Is Different
This isn’t a standard associate position — it’s a succession-track mentorship designed for a doctor who wants to learn a proven, effective adjusting system from someone with decades of hands-on clinical experience, and who is interested in eventually taking over an established practice.
