TESTING SPECIALIST - PART-TIME
WILBUR WRIGHT COLLEGE
ADULT EDUCATION
The Adult Education Department of Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, seeks a qualified Testing Specialist - Part-Time to assist with the administration of large scale, nationally standardized testing programs, computerized college placement exams, or other tests requiring special arrangements. This position is responsible for ensuring the security of the exam environment. While this position will primarily support testing operations for adult education students, the Testing Specialist - Part-Time will also be expected to be familiar with testing services for college credit students.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Responsible for setting up and clearing the exam room.
โ€ข Completes documentation related to the exam including tally of examinees.
โ€ข Inspects admittance documents and personal identification to assure that only authorized persons are admitted to the exam site.
โ€ข Instructs and monitors examinees to ensure compliance with prescribed rules and to prevent dishonesty or collusion among examinees.
โ€ข Responsible for the security of confidential exam material and booklets during the exam, constantly aware that all booklets are accounted for, seeing that no one leaves the exam room without authorization, and assuring that no examination material is taken from the room.
โ€ข Assists in clarifying test instructions for candidates.
โ€ข Collects test materials at end of testing period and enters test results in appropriate student database, if necessary.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข High school diploma or GED required.
โ€ข Completion of one semester of standardized test administration; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
Salary Information:
Salary Range: $17.48-$24.59 per hour
Offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข Ability and willingness to travel between Wilbur Wright College and Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center as well as off-sites, as needed.
โ€ข Ability and willingness to work some weekends, as needed.
This part-time position is represented by Local 1600 Professional Union.
