JOB SUMMARY:ย The Teen Court Youth Development Professional (YDP) supports the Boys & Girls Clubโs diversion programming by working directly with youth referred to Teen Court. This role focuses on providing mentorship, accountability, and guidance while fostering positive behavior change. The YDP helps ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for participants while reinforcing the Clubโs mission of helping all youth reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.ย
JOB DUTIES:ย
Build positive, trusting relationships with youth, modeling appropriate behavior, resilience, and healthy choices.ย
Support all diversion program requirements, including restorative justice activities, peer jury proceedings, community service tracking, and skill-building workshops.ย
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:ย ย
High school diploma or GEDย required,ย some college coursework in human services, social work, education, or related field preferred.ย
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:ย
Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, etc. at the Club to ensure safety of the space and others, provide guidance and reflection per the Club priority outcomes and goalsย
