Job description

As a Security Officer Radio Dispatch in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Professional supporting a dynamic financial institution location, where you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, document incidents, and help support timely responses to security-related needs. In this role, you will bring strong customer service and communication skills while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and people first, all while acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and/or other communication systems to receive calls for assistance, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document routine activity, incidents, and service requests in logs and/or reporting systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Coordinate responses to alarms, suspicious activity, medical situations, and/or other critical events by gathering details, relaying information, and helping to support an organized response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, while helping to observe conditions, report concerns, and support security-related operations across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to operate a Segway or T3 is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
