Part-Time Solar Field Inspector

PV National, LLC
DFW Metroplex
Part-Time | 20–30 Hours Per Week
$25/Hour

PV National is a fast-growing solar operations company specializing in detach & reinstall (D&R) projects across the DFW area. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated team member to join our operations department as a Part-Time Solar Field Inspector

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, hands-on work with room to grow inside a rapidly expanding company.

No solar experience is required — we will provide training.

Compensation & Schedule

  • $25/hour
  • Typical schedule: 20–30 hours per week
  • Guaranteed minimum pay floor equivalent to 18 hours/week
  • Paid semi-monthly (1st and 15th)
  • Part-time position with potential growth into a larger/full-time role as the company expands

What You’ll Be Doing

Solar Pre-Job Inspections (PJIs)

You will travel throughout the DFW area conducting pre-job inspections for upcoming solar detach & reinstall projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Taking detailed solar system photos and documentation
  • Building accurate materials lists for each project
  • Uploading and organizing inspection information using company software

Warehouse & Material Staging

On Fridays, you will also assist with preparing the following week’s projects by:

  • Pulling materials from warehouse inventory
  • Verifying counts and accuracy
  • Organizing/staging materials by project address

Work Schedule

Typical working days:

  • Monday
  • Wednesday
  • Friday

This role includes a mix of:

  • Driving throughout DFW
  • Roof access and inspections
  • Warehouse organization
  • Computer/software documentation

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation to report to the company vehicle location in Richardson TX
  • Comfortable driving throughout the DFW metroplex
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and getting on roofs
  • Physically capable of lifting materials and working in outdoor environments
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience

No prior solar experience is required.

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

  • Construction
  • Roofing
  • Solar
  • Warehouse operations
  • Inventory management
  • Field inspections

We will provide training for the right candidate.
