Job description

As a Platform Engineer on our Retail Media Network (RMN) Platform Operations team, you'll help keep the systems behind our advertising business running smoothly and reliably. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, support platform integrations, and work across teams to improve the tools and processes that power campaign execution, reporting, and revenue operations. If you enjoy solving technical problems, finding root causes, and improving how systems work, this role offers the chance to make a direct impact on a growing platform.
In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another nonBest Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
  • Support launch readiness, hypercare, production stabilization, and technical support activities for the RMN Pitch-to-Pay program
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, API, and data-related issues
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing Operations, and vendors to solve production incidents
  • Support releases, testing, operational readiness, and post-launch activities
  • Monitor platform health and identify opportunities to improve reliability
  • Create documentation, runbooks, and automation that reduce recurring issues

Basic qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, production support, site reliability engineering, technical operations, or enterprise application support
  • 5 years of experience managing production incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis
  • 2 years of experience working with integrated platforms, APIs, SaaS applications, and enterprise workflows
  • 2 years of experience utilizing enterprise ticketing platforms (ie. Jira, Service Now)
  • 2 years of experience supporting service operations, including SLA and KPI management

Preferred qualifications
  • 3 years of experience with operations, reliability, or support engineering functions
  • 1 year of experience supporting Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, Salesforce, or advertising platforms
  • Experience managing large, integrated platform environments and vendor relationships
  • 2 years of experience improving operations through automation and self-service capabilities
  • Ability to influence teams and build strong partnerships across the organization
  • 2 years of experience with APIs, integration troubleshooting, SQL, data analysis, observability, monitoring, or logging platforms
