Job Description
We're looking for a creative, curious, and resourceful Social Marketing and Audience Growth Intern to help grow awareness and audience for our expanding podcast network. This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, knows where niche communities live online, and is excited to engage authentically with fans across platforms.
You'll play a key role in identifying and participating in online conversations, seeding podcast content in relevant spaces, and helping us reach new audiences beyond traditional social channels.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and research online communities where target podcast audiences are active (Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord, Quora, Substack, forums, etc.)
  • Monitor conversations, trends, and recurring topics within these communities
  • Authentically engage in discussions to build credibility and relationships (not spammy promotion)
  • Seed podcast content, clips, and ideas into relevant conversations where appropriate
  • Collaborate with the content and social teams to align messaging and timing
  • Develop creative ways to introduce podcasts into existing conversations and cultural moments
  • Track which communities and tactics drive engagement, traffic, and audience growth
  • Assist in outreach to moderators, creators, and community leaders when needed
  • Stay up to date on emerging platforms, online behaviors, and audience trends
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions around growth, distribution, and audience development
  • Support additional marketing and audience growth initiatives as assigned

Qualifications
  • Strong familiarity with platforms like Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord, Quora, and emerging community spaces
  • Strong sports knowledge (current events, statistics, history, podcasts, culture ...)
  • Strong understanding of online culture, tone, and how to engage authentically
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt voice by platform
  • Interest in podcasts, media, storytelling, and audience growth
  • Ability to think creatively and identify non-obvious distribution opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can work independently and experiment with new ideas

The hourly compensation for this role is $18.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
