Job description

Strategic Planner
The Opportunity:
Step into a high-impact role at the center of the Army's digital transformation. As a Strategic Planner, you won't just write documents - you'll help shape the future of how the Army thinks about enterprise IT, data, architecture, and digital modernization. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, communication, and mission impact.
In this position, you will translate complex technical, policy, and modernization initiatives into powerful, polished communications built for senior leaders who make decisions that influence the entire enterprise. Your work will drive clarity around priorities, accelerate adoption of digital-reform efforts, and help leadership communicate vision and intent across a diverse and distributed force.
Every day brings the opportunity to craft compelling narratives, build visually striking briefings, and produce executive-ready products that directly support enterprise-wide modernization. Whether building information papers that shape policy conversations, developing strategy documents that guide long-term initiatives, or creating executive summaries that prepare leaders for critical engagements, your work will have real, measurable impact.
You will collaborate with senior clients, mission partners, architects, data leaders, and policy experts to ensure alignment and momentum behind strategic priorities. And as a trusted advisor, you'll help uncover insights, identify trends, and shape messaging that drives decision-making at the highest levels.
If you're energized by mission, motivated by transformation, and excited to tell the story of where the digital enterprise is heading - this is the opportunity for you.
You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience supporting strategic planning, policy development, governance, or enterprise IT initiatives within DoW or federal organizations
  • 10+ years of experience analyzing directives, legislation, or enterprise IT guidance and translating them into actionable recommendations
  • 5+ years of experience developing executive-level communications, summaries, and briefing materials
  • Experience working with senior-level stakeholders and coordinating across teams or mission partners
  • Ability to conduct research, synthesize findings, and drive strategic integration
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting the Army National Guard, NGB, Army CIO/G-6, or similar DoW IT organizations
  • Experience in IT governance, portfolio management, strategic planning, or policy analysis
  • Experience with knowledge-management tools, enterprise collaboration platforms, and SharePoint and Guard knowledge environments
  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise-wide initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to lead small teams, working groups, or project-level efforts
  • Possession of strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
