Job description

Description:

The Production Planner at Hyper Solutions is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules to support customer demand, operational capacity, and supply chain objectives across internal operations and external manufacturing partners. This role plays a critical part in translating demand signals into executable production plans and ensuring schedule adherence in a complex, project-driven manufacturing environment.


Partnering closely with the Planning Manager, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners, the Master Scheduler ensures material availability, capacity alignment, and on-time delivery performance across Hyper’s manufacturing network.


Core Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain monthly and rolling production schedules aligned to demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
  • Translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into executable production orders for internal and external manufacturing partners.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and proactively manage risks related to material shortages, capacity bottlenecks, quality issues, and supplier constraints.
  • Adjust production schedules in response to changing customer priorities, engineering changes, supply disruptions, and operational delays.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of raw materials and critical components.
  • Align production plans with labor, equipment, and capacity availability at Hyper Hub and partner manufacturing sites.
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product transitions, and configuration changes through coordinated schedule updates.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Create, release, and maintain production work orders and related transactions in ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
  • Support transactional accuracy for production reporting, completions, and work order closures.
  • Partner with Logistics and Operations to align shipping schedules with production completion dates.
  • Track and report key production KPIs including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and capacity utilization.
  • Provide daily and weekly production status updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, ERP accuracy, and cross-functional visibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience in electrical infrastructure manufacturing or project-based / engineered-to-order environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS or similar certification (CPIM, CSCP).

Compensation

The anticipated minimum hiring range is $80,000-$95,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications and location. This hire will be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
