Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Junior Accountant / Administrative Assistant to support our growing CPA firm. This role will assist with bookkeeping, payroll support, administrative tasks, client communication, and general accounting operations.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Schedule

  • Part-Time
  • Approximately 15–25 hours per week
  • Additional hours may be available during tax season

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting Support

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Organize and maintain client accounting files and workpapers
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks
  • Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules

Payroll Support

  • Assist with payroll data entry and payroll processing support
  • Organize payroll reports and payroll-related documentation
  • Follow up with clients for payroll information and missing items
  • Support payroll compliance workflows under supervision

Administrative Tasks

  • Communicate with clients regarding document requests and follow-ups
  • Upload and organize documents in client portals
  • Assist with engagement setup and onboarding tasks
