Job description

Position Overview
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for leading the design, implementation, and operational excellence of endpoint management services across the enterprise. This role plays a critical part in application packaging, configuration management, automation, monitoring, deployment, endpoint security, and patch governance. The engineer will leverage advanced technical skills to mentor team members, influence technical strategy, and elevate the organization's endpoint service delivery.
The position collaborates closely with Information Security, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Technical Support, and Operations teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable workstation experiences for all users.
Responsibilities
Endpoint Platform Ownership & Administration
  • Lead administration and lifecycle management of enterprise endpoint management systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating environment (SOE) images and baselines.
  • Research, assess, and document software product lifecycles to support proactive planning.
Automation, Packaging & Deployment
  • Engineer automation solutions to proactively detect and remediate workstation issues.
  • Lead application packaging and deployment efforts across modern management platforms.
  • Build and maintain zero-touch deployment workflows, application distribution processes, and OS update strategies.
Security, Compliance & Device Health
  • Ensure endpoint security alignment with organizational standards and vulnerability management requirements.
  • Support organizational initiatives related to Security, Information Protection, and Threat Protection.
  • Enforce controls supporting data management, compliance policies, and secure device configurations.
Continuous Improvement, Standards & Documentation
  • Contribute to the development of team standards, best practices, and tooling strategies.
  • Apply metric-driven decision-making and automation to improve service quality and user experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, systems, architecture, and operational procedures.
Collaboration & Project Support
  • Provide technical leadership in cross-functional projects impacting the endpoint environment.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure integrated, reliable solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications or training encouraged (e.g., Microsoft Security).
  • Extensive experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, and JAMF.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, VBScript, batch, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of hardware configurations, drivers, firmware, peripherals, and workstation components.
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Advanced experience managing client operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and mentor peers.
