Wonderschool

San Francisco, CA • On-site

Full-time, Part-time

Re-posted 29 days ago

Job description

About Wonderschool

Wonderschool's mission is to ensure every child has access to early childhood education that helps them realize their full potential. We empower small business owners - child care providers - to launch and grow in-home programs through cutting-edge software, personalized coaching, and responsive support. We also partner with governments to modernize public child care infrastructure.

Our team is small, fast-moving, and deeply motivated by the impact we create in families and communities across the country.

About This Future Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we're interested in connecting with Social Media Managers who are passionate about storytelling, community-building, and creating content that drives real-world impact. This posting is intended to build relationships with candidates for potential future openings and does not represent an active role at this time.

This role focuses primarily on Instagram, with TikTok as a secondary channel, and is ideal for creators who love blending education, inspiration, and strategy to grow and engage audiences.

What These Roles May Involve

Depending on company needs, future Social Media Manager roles may include:

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Developing and executing a high-quality content strategy for Instagram and TikTok aligned with Wonderschool's mission

  • Creating engaging, inspiring, and educational content (Reels, Stories, TikToks, carousels, etc.)

  • Crafting content that inspires child care providers to pursue high-quality programs and financial freedom

  • Developing parenting content that encourages and supports caregivers

  • Creating messaging that empowers educators to grow their income and careers

  • Staying current on trends in early education, neuroscience, finance, and digital marketing

Community Growth & Engagement

  • Building and nurturing an engaged community through comments, DMs, and conversations

  • Developing relationships with influencers, educators, and child care advocates

  • Identifying and testing growth strategies to increase followership, particularly among women aged 20-30

  • Leveraging user-generated content and collaborations to expand brand reach

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Tracking and analyzing performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, etc.)

  • Running experiments to optimize content formats, hashtags, and posting cadence

  • Sharing regular insights and recommendations to improve performance and impact

What We're Generally Looking For
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences

  • Proven experience growing and managing Instagram and TikTok accounts

  • Deep understanding of social media trends, formats, and best practices

  • Data-driven mindset with comfort analyzing and optimizing performance

  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite)

  • Passion for education, child care, and financial empowerment

  • Comfort working independently with high ownership and creativity

Compensation (Future Opportunities - California)

For future Social Media Manager roles based in California, the expected compensation range will vary depending on scope, level, and employment type (full-time, part-time, or contract). A good-faith base pay range will be shared if and when an active role becomes available. These roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits depending on role structure.

Additional Notes
  • This is not an active job opening and does not guarantee an interview or offer

  • Employment type, scope, level, and compensation may vary based on business needs

  • Candidates may be contacted if and when a relevant opening becomes available
