Description
The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Administrative Specialist II (Part-Time) - Library.
We invite you to join this high performing team with the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Administrative Specialist II supporting the Library department.If you have a desire to serve the community, we encourage you to apply.
Examples of Duties
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
  • Provide administrative support to the Library department, including phone coverage, budget entry, data entry and documentation, mail distribution, ordering supplies, filing and document management.
  • Provides advanced level and confidential administrative support including compiling detailed information, preparing policy drafts, statistical reports and other documents.
  • Routinely conducts research and performs special projects for the department.
  • Assists in departmental budget preparation; reconciles invoices, procurement card statements, supplies, legal publications and contracts.
  • Resolves customer inquiries independently using appropriate judgement and authorized discretion within established policies and procedures.
  • Complete records retention and destruction activities in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Manage all incoming record requests.

Typical Qualification
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate degree and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative and fiscal experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent with six (6) years of progressively responsible administration and fiscal experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background including driving record.
  • Ability to type/key 60 words per minute.
  • Working knowledge of procedures and policies; payroll and personnel administrative procedures and municipal methods, functions and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills.

Supplemental Information
COMPENSATION:
Part-time employees are not eligible for our full benefit package; however, they do earn some general leave each paycheck and will participate in Arizona State Retirement System.
The expected hiring range is $27.40-$28.77
The full hourly range is $27.40-$38.37
