Job Summary:

The Center for Interpersonal Connections (CIC) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support student engagement, programming, and administrative operations. This role contributes to four primary areas: Student Diversity Council (SDC), International Student Support & Engagement, Shucker Fellows Program, and CIC Office Programming & Administration. This position is for 1 academic year.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Student Diversity Council (SDC)

  • Manage financial and procurement processes in Workday, including purchase orders, expense reconciliation, and vendor payments.
  • Coordinate external purchases in collaboration with CIC staff.
  • Support program logistics including travel, lodging, and reservations for campus guests.
  • Reserve spaces using university systems and coordinate event needs with campus partners.
  • Assist with advising student leaders on program planning and responsible use of funds.

International Student Support & Engagement

  • Transport international students to essential locations using university vehicles.
  • Plan and implement programs that support international student engagement.
  • Coordinate meals and programming during university breaks.

Shucker Fellows Program

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the Shucker Fellows Program.
  • Coordinate space reservations, materials preparation, and supply ordering.
  • Assist with program planning, scheduling, and communication.
  • Support the operations of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, including materials preparation, space reservations, and initiation ceremony logistics.
  • Assist with the Student Leadership Awards process, including record keeping, committee support, event logistics, and maintaining the Leadership Awards display in Trone Student Center.

CIC Office Support

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of large-scale campus programs.
  • Maintain office organization and supplies.
  • Manage office communications.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; in lieu of this requirement, one year of relevant experience in administrative assistance, project coordination, program support, event planning, or related work may be considered.
