Position description:
The Global Engagement Program Assistant will work closely with Director, Global Engagement and Coordinator, Global Engagement to assist with activities and events for current students and new students. Program Assistants will help with semester initiatives, events, and activities, new international student orientation planning, as well as planning and support for upcoming terms.
The program assistant will:
  • Support office communications including design and posting on social media and other communications outreach.
  • Help the office prepare for and execute events and activities including creating handouts, presentations, and logistical support.
  • Respond to verbal and written inquiries, communicate with current and prospective students.
  • Assist staff with applications and supporting materials for the Chatham field experience programs, Chatham Semester, Chatham International Internship.
  • Update materials for upcoming terms.

Students in this position will work on campus (Shadyside campus) in the Office of Global Engagement (Falk Hall). No prior experience is necessary. International students and students who have traveled and or studied abroad are strongly encouraged to apply! We are looking for applicants with good customer service skills and an interest in learning about other cultures.
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
