Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing day-to-day academic support to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's students in a structured, on-site environment. The individual assists student in the completion of homework, provide remediation of skills, and to promote effective organizational and study skills. The individual assists students in small groups and/or one on one with assignments in all academic subjects, providing direction, clarity, and understanding. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required; or a two (2) year vocational certification will be considered. A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working as Tutor, Instructional Aide or similar position is required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and youth. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
