  • Minimum guaranteed hours per week - Pay Range is DOE and negotiable. May not work some weeks and will still receive minimum guaranteed hours. If over average hours per week/month may receive additional hourly wage

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Part-Time in-house attorney with at least 3 years experience with the ability to draft, review, summarize, research and advise on contracts and negotiations on behalf of the company. Some key areas of work will be confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service contracts, commercial contracts, real estate leases, new entity formation , employment law, and other general business contracts.

  • Preparation of commercial agreements
  • Research and analysis of laws and regulations
  • Analysis and summation of complex documents
  • Negotiating with customers, via telephone or email, regarding modifications to business agreements
  • Provide legal advice to owner in a large variety of areas
  • Investigation and definition of problem areas, preparation of reports recommending solutions or courses of action related to contract administration and/or projects and manage changes accordingly
  • Manage projects and deadlines
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and guidelines
  • Preparation of written and verbal opinions of counsel as needed
  • JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the state of Utah

General Workload:

  • 50 – 60% Transactional (Anything potentially legal, contractual, etc will be passed through this position)
  • 30 – 40% Contractual
  • 10 – 20% Litigation (This does not happen often, but when it does it will take 10-20% of your time)
