The Position

The House Supervisor oversees the Ticket Ushers in the Entertainment Centre from scanning tickets at venue entry to assisting patrons to their seats and assisting Security with any Emergency responses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises Ticket Ushers, interviews and hires new staff, provides training, assigns positions, conducts performance appraisals and implements performance documentation.
  • Coaches, counsels and motivates the Entertainment team to maintain positive staff morale and ensure growth and goal achievement.
  • Responds to escalated patron inquiries, reassigns seats, organizes seating for wheelchair users, turns negative situations into positive ones and enforces Entertainment Centre policies and procedures.
  • Leads staff in the response to emergency situations requiring evacuations to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of Front of House policies and procedures.
  • Word processes e-mails to communicate information to a variety of casino departments.
  • Prepares the Front of House communication board.
  • Prepares and e-mails the Front of House Show Report.
  • Sets up and maintains employee files.
  • Maintains records of monthly and annual costs for events.
  • Key enters data for daily shift information.
  • Provides coaching related to Health and Safety procedures and requirements. Ensures that employees work in a safe and hazard free environment in accordance with Casino Rama policies and procedures.
  • Approves Personal Time Offs and Personal Emergency Leave.
  • Complies with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulations.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards.
